3.5 stars

Grace is an impoverished American who is in England with her wealthy grandparents trying to attain her dowry so that she can buy medicine for her very sick mother. Oliver is a war hero who has just inherited his impoverished earldom and needs a wealthy wife. Two people trying to find wealthy spouses but instead find each other. Both of these characters are extremely likable and the chemistry between the two is evident. I did find the pacing a little strange. They only share a couple of dances for the first part and yet seem as if they know each other very well already and then the ending becomes rushed. It is only about 250 pages which is maybe why the timeline seems a little uneven. Regardless, it is an entertaining historical romance with a sweet relationship at its center. I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
