Philip Pullman is the bestselling author of the His Dark Materials trilogy (which I have
not read) and these essays pulled from speeches and publication detail his
thoughts on creating stories. I thought
this a remarkably well put together collection, easy to read with little repetition. From this collection, it is apparent that
Pullman cares not only about his ability to create literature but the craft of
creating a story that appeals to his readers.
I was fortunate to receive a digital ARC of this book through NetGalley
