4.5 stars
Beautifully written with complex and
completely unique characters, reading this novel was a pleasant surprise. Perla, a stripper of Cuban descent, and
Julian, a former Russian orphan and current millionaire, form an unlikely pair
and their relationship has consequences that change the course of their
lives. I found the ending to be a bit unbelievable
but the beauty of the book lies in the rich characters and their
backstories. I received this book
through LibraryThing.
